Ernestine Reed Jones 89 of Sissonville passed away quietly and peacefully, after a long illness on February 17, 2015 at Hospice House. She was born in Kanawha County and has been a lifelong resident. Ernestine attended Woodrow Wilson and Stonewall Jackson Schools, was employed at Libby Owens Bottling Plant, Purity Maid Bakery, and later as a housewife. Preceding her in death was her husband for 59 years, Russell E. Jones and her parents, Melvin H. and Vada M. Reed. Survivors include her sister, Betty Hardwick of North Charleston and many nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be 1:00 PM Friday at Cunningham-Parker-Johnson Funeral Home with the Rev. David Peters officiating. Interment will follow in Floral Hills Garden of Memories, Pocatalico. Visitation with the family will be one hour prior to services also at the funeral home.
