Emogene Harrison, 83, of Charleston, passed away at Hubbard Hospice House after a short illness. Mrs. Harrison was a former employee of Charleston Linen Co. and retired from the Benefits Division of One Valley Bank. She was a member of Charleston Mountain Mission and member of the Adult Bible Class at the church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dallas L. Harrison; parents, Clarence B. and Ruby C. Patton; son, Richard L. "Dick" Carter; and grandson, Jeremy Carter. Survivors include her children, Cheryl Kennedy and husband, Tom of Charleston and Stanley Carter and wife, Patty of Charleston; sisters, Geraldine Elkins of Cleveland, OH, Barbara Tury of Elyria, OH, Connie Moughler of Waterloo, IN and Jan Kalinowski of Newhaven, IN; 5 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be 1:00 PM Wednesday, October 8, 2014 at Cunningham-Parker-Johnson Funeral Home with Rev. Al Mendez officiating. Burial will follow at Tyler Mountain Memory Gardens, Cross Lanes. Visitation will be Tuesday from 6 - 8 PM at the funeral home.
