Elsie Magdaline Walters, 95 of Cross Lanes passed away March 12, 2017 at St. Ann's Hospital, Columbus, Ohio.
She was a retired Seamstress and Clerk from Stone and Thomas and Charleston Department Store. She also served many churches in the area as organist.
Preceding her in death were her parents Homer Haden and Alice Minerva Hatcher Holley; her husband Charles Walters; brothers, Vernon and Virgil Holley; sisters, Virgie Marion, Velma Holley and Mary O'Chevlair.
Survivors include her sons, Rickey E. Walters and wife Terry and Johnny "Del" Walters; daughter, Joane I. Davis.
Grandchildren, Scott Davis, Cheryl Wright and Jannifer Cordts; Great Grandchildren, Jana N. Prendergast, Gary Robert Wright, Adam S. Wright, Jared S. Davis and Hudson D. Cordts; Great Great Grandchildren, Parker T. Prendergast and Griffin M. Prendergast.
Private Services were held at 1:00 PM Saturday March 18, 2017 at Cunningham-Parker-Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. Officiants were Scott Davis, Jannifer Cordts and Cheryl Wright. Visitation was held 2 hour prior to service. Burial following services was in Tyler Mountain Memory Gardens, Cross Lanes.
The family wishes to express a special thank you to all family members and friends for the love and support given to our mother - grandmother during her last years following the passing of our father - grandfather and during the past year for the Doctor's, Hospice Workers and everyone involved.
