Edyth D. Hall, 83, of Lewisburg, formerly of South Charleston, passed away July 26, 2009. Edyth was a member of Grace Baptist Temple, St. Albans, and attended Charleston Mountain Mission and Green Valley Church of God, and she loved to read her bible. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Hall; parents, Clifford and Eugie Weikle Dowdy; brothers, Clifford Dowdy, Jr. and Marvin Dowdy and two infants; sisters, Madeline Dowdy and Mildred Humphries; Surviving are; nephew and his wife, Thomas and Sue Humphries of Clinton, North Carolina; niece and her husband, Madeline and Helmut Steudel of Calgary, Canada; several other nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, July 29, 2009 at Cunningham-Parker-Johnson Funeral Home, Charleston, with the Rev. David Pence and Pastor Youel Altizer officiating. Burial will be in Tyler Mountain Memory Gardens, Cross Lanes. Visitation with the family will be one hour prior to the service Wednesday at the funeral home.
