Edra K. "Kathy" Burgess, 86, of Charleston, was called to the Lord unexpectedly on July 9, 2015. She was preceded in death by her husbands, James Edward Angel and Carl Burgess; parents, Charles and Francy Mae Bush; siblings, Erma, Edith, Luvada, Daniel "Buster", Bonnie Dale, Oval, Orville and Ralph; and grandchildren, Amy, Timmy, Lee and Darrick. Survivors include her loving children, Loretta (Darrell) Cottrell of Spencer, Harold (Hilda) Angel of Elkview, Judy (Raymond) Pittman of Charleston and Janet (Robert) Latta of Charleston; 10 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great-grandchildren. Also surviving are numerous nieces, nephews and friends. A memorial service will be held 7:00 PM Monday, July 13, 2015 at Cunningham-Parker-Johnson Funeral Home, Charleston, with Pastor Ralph Rose officiating. Friends may gather one hour prior to service time at the funeral home.
