Earnest Carl Fugate 76 of Charleston went home to be with the Lord on July 6, 2013 at his home. Carl was a retired Fork Truck operator at Kanawha Manufacturing Company and a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He attended Sugar Creek Community Mission Church. The family would like to thank everyone at the church for their kindness, care, support and prayers through his illness. Preceding him in death were his parents, Charles Edward and Dovie Higginbotham Fugate and Grandson Michael Lattea. Survivors include his Loving wife of 35 years and caregiver, Mary Fugate; son, Perry Fugate; daughter, Carla Lambert and husband Homer; step-sons, Gary Hinzman; Oshel Hinzman and wife Nikki; step-daughters, Tina Edens and husband Jack; Robin Pauley and husband Bruce; Sandra Hinzman; Brenda Lucas and husband Greg; brothers, Charles Fugate and wife Nancy; Larry Fugate and wife Phyllis of Ohio; sisters, Mabel Jones and husband Denver; Rosalie Cauchulk; Jeanette Carte; Frances Casdorph; Ester Carpenter and husband Tom and Ruth Garnett. Also surviving are 17 grandchildren 14 great grandchildren; and special people in his life, Cheryl Vannoy and Jerry Shamblin. Following Carl's wishes his body will be cremated.
