Dovie Darlena Chapman 80 of Charleston passed away August 2, 2014 at Hubbard Hospice House West, South Charleston. She was a Homemaker, member of Starcher Baptist Church and enjoyed gardening and flowers. Preceding her in death were her husband Charles Ray Chapman; parents, Doyle and Emily Smith; grandson, Michael Chapman and brother, Wesley Smith. Survivors include her children, Chuck Chapman and wife Debbie; Patricia Chapman and companion Monte; Brenda McCormick; Gary Chapman; Teri Chapman and companion Jeff; Scott, Jeff and Ronnie Chapman; brothers, Dickie, Hersey, Bill and Teddy Smith. 14 Grandchildren and Five Great Grandchildren. Funeral Services will be 11:00 AM Wednesday August 6, 2014 at Cunningham-Parker-Johnson Funeral Home with Pastor Bernie Gatens officiating. Burial will follow in Sissonville Memorial Gardens, Sissonville. Visitation with the family will be from 6 to 8 PM on Tuesday at the Funeral Home.
