Douglas Anthony "Dougie", Barnett 56, of Charleston, went home to be with the Lord on February 26, 2021 after a courageous battle with cancer. He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Dorothy Barnett Grubbs; stepfather, Ron Lovejoy; mother-in-law, Ruth Kidd Withrow and father- in- law, Ernest Withrow. Dougie left behind the love of his life, Penny Withrow Barnett; son, Anthony Barnett and his wife, Elizabeth Tyler Barnett; two grandchildren, Levi and McKenzie; mother, Susan Lovejoy; sister, Kim Tuttle; brother, Patrick Lovejoy; fur baby, Snowball, and a host of family and friends. Dougie was a 1983 graduate of Stonewall Jackson High School and was employed by Goodwill Industries for 17 years until his retirement. Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Thursday, March 4, 2021 at Cunningham-Parker-Johnson Funeral Home. The family will welcome friends one hour prior to services.
