Dorothy E. Thompson, 84, of Charleston passed away June 29, 2009 at Cedar Ridge Center, Sissonville. Mrs. Thompson was a member of Hillsdale Garden Club and a Christian Woman. She was preceded in death by her parents, James Albert and Myrtle Layne Edens, husband Johnny Thompson, and son Jack Thompson. Surviving her is a Son, Gene "Red" Thompson and his wife Ann of Clendenin; Grandchildren, Michael "Rusty" Thompson of Pensacola, Florida, Dusty Thompson and his wife Amy of Clendenin, Tim Thompson of Tampa, Florida, Kathleen Boggess and her husband Bobby of Kanawha Two Mile, and Yvonne Carpenter and her husband Dallas of Tuppers Creek: Great Grandchildren, Brandon, Judy, Mickey, Colt, Paul, Andrew, and Crystal: Great Great Grandchildren, Kierra and Wesley. Funeral Services will be 1:00 PM Friday July 3, 2009 at Cunningham-Parker-Johnson Funeral Home with the Rev. William K. Berry officiating. Burial will follow in Jenkins Cemetery, Kanawha Two Mile, Charleston. Visitation with the family will be Thursday from 6 to 8 PM at the Funeral Home.
