Dorothy Carney Roberts was born in Liberty, WV, and moved to Charleston, WV at the age of two. She was a lifelong resident of Charleston's West Side until the age of 91 when she relocated to Oregon to be near her daughter. She passed away on October 17, 2010 of age related causes at the age of 96. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Shirley and Allen Boothe of Springfield OR; grandson, Douglas Boothe and his wife, Sarah; grandson, Steven Boothe and his wife, Lisa; and two great-grandchildren, Mattison Boothe and Hillary Boothe. Mrs. Roberts worked in the Charleston City Hall for over twenty years, and was Traffic Clerk for Charleston for several years until her retirement in 1978. Mrs. Roberts' husband, Frank, preceded her in death in 1979. In her later years, she enjoyed extensive travel and visiting her family. Interment was in Sunset Memorial Park, South Charleston, on October 23, 2010.
