Dorotha Atkins, 88, of Charleston passed away April 13, 2011. Dorotha was born February 27, 1923, and was a Member of Davis Memorial Baptist Church for 58 years. She loved her family, her church, and her neighbors. She was a Homemaker and often baby sit for Neighbors and Friends. Dorotha was preceded in death by her Parents, Dora and Bert King; Husband, Virgil O. Atkins and Great Grandchildren, Elmer, Phillis and Joshua Workman. She is survived by her Daughter, Patricia Munday of Sissonville and Cheryl Mullins and her husband Clyde of Jackson, Missouri. Grandchildren, Michael, Renee and Andrea; Great Grandchildren, John, Jessica, Tiffany and Michael. The family of Dorotha would life to Thank: Thomas Memorial Hospital and Hubbard Hospice House for all the caring and support while she was sick. Funeral Services will be 11:00 AM Monday April 18, 2011 at Cunningham-Parker-Johnson Funeral Home with the Rev. Roger Vannoy officiating. Burial will follow in Goff-McClanahan Cemetery, Sissonville. Visitation with the family will be from 6 to 8 PM Sunday at the Funeral Home.
