Donald Rexford Smith Donald Rexford "Buddy" Smith, 72, passed away, Tuesday, December 6, 2011 at CAMC General Division, Charleston, after a long illness. He was born March 18, 1939 in Charleston, the son of the late Donald G. Smith and survived by mother, Juanita H. Smith. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Kasey C. Smith, of Sanford, North Carolina; sister, Marlene Skeens and special brother-in-law, Robert "Bob" Skeens; brothers, G. Mike Smith and wife, Bea and the Rev. John Smith and wife Margurite; several nieces and nephews, special neighbors and friends, Delbert and Brenda Morris, Ricky Burdette and Tommy Baker. "Buddy" was a Christian and attended Teays Valley Missionary Baptist Church before his illness. He lived most of his adult life in North Carolina, working as a mechanical engineer, lawyer and small business man. Private family services will be held at a later date.
