Obituary

Donald Ray Boggess, Sr., 76 of Charleston passed away June 20, 2012 after a long illness. He was the former owner of Clover Leaf Market on Patrick Street and Champion Billiards on Washington Street. Donald was preceded in death by his parents, Edgar and Mamie Boggess and his brother, Jerry Boggess. Surviving him are his former spouse, Shirley Boggess of Charleston; sons, Donald R. Boggess, Jr., and John Boggess and his wife Pamela all of Charleston, Robert Boggess of Sissonville; daughter, Linda Boggess of Charleston; brothers, Henry and Winfred Boggess both of Charleston; sisters, Evelyn Haynes of Mocksville, NC and Peggy Peters of Sissonville. Grandchildren, Donald, III, Jonathan, Justin, Corey and Zachary. Great Granddaughter, Lily Kees and several nieces and nephews also survive him. Funeral Services will be 2:00 PM Monday June 25, 2012 at Cunningham-Parke-Johnson Funeral Home with the Rev. Robert Fields officiating. Burial will follow in Sissonville Memorial Gardens, Sissonville. Visitation with the family will be Sunday from 6 to 8 PM at the Funeral Home. Donald had a kind and giving heart for children in need. He enjoyed his trips to the Greenbrier River and Gardening. The family wishes to extend a Special Thank you to Hubbard Hospice House West for the care given to Donald.
