Don E. McKinney, 75, of Charleston, went home to be with the Lord, February 18, after a long illness, at Hubbard Hospice House, Charleston.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Emory and Donna McKinney; brother, Richard McKinney, and his baby boy McKinney.
Don was a former employee of Robert E. Agestein Construction and Waste Management. He was also owner and operator of A to Z Construction. He knew no strangers and will be remembered for his quick wit and contagious humor. He will be greatly missed.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Delores; son Erick McKinney and daughter-in-law, Denise of Sissonville; granddaughters, Melissa Hughes (Tony) of Sissonville, and Angie Torreyson (Michael) of Teays Valley; great-grandchildren, Anthony and Andrew Hughes and Lily Torreyson; brother, Leon McKinney of Clearwater, FL.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Hubbard Hospice House, 1001 Curtis Price Way, Charleston, WV 25311.
Funeral service will be 1:00 PM Thursday February 23, 2017 at Cunningham-Parker-Johnson Funeral Home with Pastor Charles Hardy officiating. Burial will follow in Sissonville Memorial Gardens, Sissonville. Visitation with the family will be one hour prior to services.
