Don "Jimmy" Holmes, 74 of Wolf Pen, aka The Mayor of
Wolf Pen passed away unexpectedly December 14, at his home.
Jimmy had worked at various places before his retirement in the early 2000's. He attended Elizabeth Baptist Church.
Preceding him in death were his parents, Leon and Stella Thaxton Holmes; sister, Linda Holmes and brother, Jack Skeens.
Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Dorothy Baldwin Holmes; daughter, Misti Dawn Cochran and husband Jim; granddaughter, Makenzie Cochran; grandson, Jayleb Cochran and his girlfriend, Courtney Kenney; sister, Peggy Ratliff; helpful neighbors, Rebecca Myers, Lonnie Dale, Phyllis and Buddy Kiser and many other family and friends.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 PM on Monday December 18, 2017 at Elizabeth Baptist Church, Wolf Pen Drive, Charleston, funeral service will be held at 7:00 PM with Pastor Randy Campbell and Pastor Clifton Thaxton officiating. Commital and Entombment will follow at 11:00 AM Tuesday at Floral Hills Garden of memories, Pocatalico.
