Dollie Fay Baldwin Chapman, 83, of Charleston, went home to be with the Lord on May 8, 2015 at Cedar Ridge Center. Dollie was a Christian and attended Charleston Mountain Mission Church before her illness. She also sang in the church choir. She was also a member of New Prospect Baptist Church, Legg Fork. Dollie retired from Sears after 12 years of service. She also loved flowers, gardening and sewing. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Haskel Baldwin and Orville "Bud" Chapman; parents, George W. and Victoria Ann Shaffer; sisters, Gail Archibald Dillard, Nellie N. Range and Hallie Myers; brothers, Dorsel, Albert, Holly Ray, George Wilbur, Archie, Guy and Darrell Shaffer; and grandson, Jerry Wayne Baldwin, II. Survivors include her loving daughter, Sharon Jones of Alum Creek; sons, Louie Baldwin, Raymond Baldwin and wife, Sue, David Baldwin and wife, Esther, Jerry Baldwin and wife, Joyce all of Sissonville, George Baldwin and wife, Carmel of Goldtown, and Timothy Baldwin and wife, Shari of Sissonville; sister, Emogene Hall of Marmet; 12 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be 1:00 PM Tuesday, May 12, 2015 at New Prospect Baptist Church, Legg Fork, with Pastor Frank Chapman officiating. Burial will follow at John Beane Cemetery, Sissonville. Visitation will be 6 - 8 PM Monday at Cunningham-Parker-Johnson Funeral Home, Charleston.
