Delores A. "Corky" Bailey 79, of Charleston passed away Friday January 18, 2013 at home. She was a graduate of Charleston High School and was retired from Union Carbide. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and sister who always put her family and their needs first. Preceding her in death was her husband of 54 years, Guy F. Bailey, one son, Lee Allen Bailey, her parents, Howard and Eunice Smith and her sister, Eloise Leonard. Surviving her are son, Howard Bailey and wife Kimberly of Charleston; daughter, Tina Buckner and husband Christopher of Beckley; grandsons, Franklin Buckner and Lee Bailey; granddaughters, Lindsay Bailey and Bailey Buckner; special nephew, William "Bill" Leonard, who she helped raise, and his wife Sandra of Ponchatoula, LA; brothers, Darest Smith of Charleston and Howard Judson Smith and wife Joanna of Dunbar; sister, Betty Smith of Charleston; sisters-in-laws, Esther Burks and Jackie Hall of Springfield, OH and Evelyn Bailey of Winfield. She will be cherished and missed by all who knew and loved her. Funeral Services will be 2:00 PM Wednesday January 23, 2013 at Cunningham-Parker-Johnson Funeral Home with the Rev. Paul Bailey officiating. Burial will follow in Carpenter-Bailey Cemetery, Sissonville. Visitation with the family will be two hours prior to the services also on Wednesday.
