Obituary

David Lee Keen, 81 of Charleston went home to be with the Lord on May 13, 2017 at his home.
David proudly served his country in the Army and Air Force, having retired with the 130th Air National Guard, he had served in the 101st Airborne Division, making over 100 jumps, during the Korean Conflict, member of PATH Finder, Jump Master and Ranger status, he had been stationed at Fort Bragg for several years.
He was a retired State Expeditor Supervisor with the U.S. Postal Service, and was a member of Charleston Mountain Mission Church.
Preceding him in death were his parents, David William and Viola Vance Keen; brother, Jerry Keen and sisters, Helen Whitehair, Dorothy Lanham, Tiny Saunders, Floranne Coon and Mary Parker.
Survivors include his loving wife of 54 years, Charlene Keen; son, Billy Keen of Charleston; daughter, Mary Ellen Morris and husband Corey of Warrenville, SC; beloved grandsons that he loved dearly, Nick and Evan Morris of Warrenville, SC brother, Fred Keen and wife Carolyn of Sissonville; sister, Betty Taylor of Sissonville. And a host of friends who are also left to mourn his passing.
Funeral Services will be 2:00 PM Tuesday, May 16, 2017 at Cunningham-Parker-Johnson Funeral Home with Pastor Jeff Underwood and Corey Morris officiating. Burial with Military Graveside Rites provided by James E. Marshall American Legion Post #187, Winfield will follow in Floral Hills Garden of Memories, Pocatalico. Visitation with the family will be two hours prior to services also on Tuesday.
