David Larry Haynes 54 of Charleston went home to be with the Lord October 28, 2014 at Hubbard Hospice House. He was born September 27, 1960 to Edward Haynes and Evelyn Hoover. David loved to play poker and shoot pool. His hobby was making peach baskets. He was a loving man and loved to take care of his family. Preceding him in death were his father Edward Haynes, brother, Billy Haynes and great niece Kaylee Dawn Matlock. Surviving is his loving wife of 33 years, Carrie Haynes, son, Edwin Shaffer and wife Jenn, daughter, Patricia Dawn Haynes, granddaughter, Stephiane Hicks, great granddaughter, Alee Lloyd, mother, Evelyn Hoover, sisters, Anita Pridemore and husband George, Tina Gibson and husband Roy and Erin Haynes; brothers, Brady Haynes and wife Marie, Daren Haynes and wife Racheal, Darrell Haynes, Gary Haynes, mother & father in law, Patricia and Donald Shaffer, brother-in-law, Mike Bostic, special brother-in-law, Bub Shaffer and sister-in-law, Gina Burdette, nieces, Brandy Haynes, Carrie Burford and many nieces nephews and great nieces and nephews who are also left to mourn his passing. Also surviving are his dog Coco and cat Tiger. His favorite place to go was Buck's Place. Funeral Services will be 1:00 PM Friday October 31, 2014 at Cunningham-Parker-Johnson Funeral Home with Pastor David Clark officiating. Interment will follow in Floral Hills Garden of Memories, Pocatalico. Visitation with the family will be one hour prior to services.
