David "Whistle" Evans David "Whistle" Evans, 65, of Cross Lanes passed away February 6, 2012 t CAMC Memorial Division. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, NASCAR, and being with the Family. He was preceded in death by his mother Oma Eddy. Surviving are his children, Brian Evans and wife Robin, Carl Evans and wife Brandi; and Amanda Evans Cook and husband Aaron all of Cross Lanes. Grandchildren, Holli, Michael, Christopher, Kaitlyn, Halie, Ashton, Aden and Karley; great grandchildren, Ryder and Jaxson. Brothers, Tommy, Jimmy, and Freddie Lockard, Bobby Evans and Donnie Eddy; sisters, Billie Jean Shartzer and Susie Doughty; step-father Emory Eddy. Funeral Service will be 11:00 a.m. Friday February 10, 2012 at Baber Agee United Methodist Church with Pastor Paul Bailey officiating. Burial will follow in Goff-McClanahan Cemetery, Charleston. . Visitation with the family will be Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. and one hour prior to service also at the church.
