Darlis Jean Hughart, 78, of Charleston went home to be with the Lord on February 15, 2025 at Home.

Darlis was born December 5, 1946 in Charleston to the late Clifford Shafer and Stella Eunice Jordan.  In addition to her parents, Darlis was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Ira Hughart; and son, Bobby Hughart.

Darlis was a homemaker, enjoyed gardening and bird watching.  She especially enjoyed listening to Gaither Gospel Music.

Left to cherish her memory are sisters, Alva Shaffer, Nidine Randolph; grandchildren, Kayla Hughart, Cody Hughart, Jordan Hughart, and Jessica Hughart; and many great-grandchildren; and her sunshine, Caitlyn.

Service will be 1:00 PM Tuesday, February 25, 2025 at Cunningham-Parker-Johnson Funeral Home, 1325 W. Washington Street, Charleston with Pastor Jerry Naylor officiating.  Entombment will follow in Floral Hills Garden of Memories, Sissonville.

A gathering of family and friends will be from 11:00-1:00 PM Tuesday at the funeral home.
