Dannie O'Dell Parsons, 69, of Charleston, passed away, Sunday, November 27, 2016, at Valley Center, South Charleston.
Dannie was preceded in death, by his parents, Dan Owans Parsons and Inez Iva Gibson Parsons; brother, Charles Bench; and son-in-law, Robert Lee Wright, Sr.
He was a retired mechanic from the West Virginia Department of Highways, a US Air Force veteran Jet Engine Mechanic, and a member of the American Legion.
Surviving are his wife, Mary Jo Parsons; daughters and sons-in-law, Susan and Dennis Roberts, Virginia Wright, and Bethany and Michael Hamrick all of Charleston; brother, Stephen Parsons of Alum Creek; sisters and brothers-in-law, Lacey and Jerry Evans of San Antonia, Texas, and Mary Ann and Buck Cantley of Charleston; six grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be 12 PM, Thursday, December 1, 2016 at Cunningham-Parker-Johnson Funeral Home, Charleston with the Rev. John Jenkins officiating. Burial will be in Donel C. Kinnard Memorial State Veterans Cemetery, Dunbar, WV.
Visitation with the family will be one hour prior to the service Thursday at the funeral home.
