Daniel M. Schultz, 77, of Charleston, passed away on Wednesday, October 14, 2015 at Marmet Center. Mr. Schultz retired from the Sanitation Department of the City of Charleston. He was also a butcher at Gunnoe Sausage over 30 years. Daniel also attended Riverview Gospel Tabernacle and loved doing work for the church. He was also Santa Clause at the church for 25 years. Preceding him in death were his parents, Charles E. and Dollie G. (Snodgrass) Schultz; and sisters, Sudie Justice, Vonda Price, Betty Walker, Reba Renaud and Mary Jenkins. Survivors include his loving wife of 59 years, Rosetta Schultz; daughter, Carolyn Watts and husband, Tony of Charleston, and Daniel M. Schultz, Jr. of Charleston; sister, Alice Mattox of Dallesport, WA; granddaughters, Jennifer Beltran and husband, Edward of Miami, FL and Marissa Easley of Charleston; and great-grandson, Jinryu Beltran of Miami, FL. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be 2:00 PM Monday, October 19, 2015 at Cunningham-Parker-Johnson Funeral Home, Charleston, with Pastor Leo Howerton officiating. Burial will follow at Spring Hill Cemetery, Charleston. Visitation will be two hours prior to service time also at the funeral home.
