Curtis "Buck" E. Richardson, 78 of Kenna, WV passed away on July 22, 2014 at Hubbard Hospice House in Charleston. He was a 1956 graduate of Dunbar High School. He was retired from the former Union Carbide, where he was a pipe fitter supervisor. Buck loved to go to auctions to get bargains, especially machinery sales in the Amish country in Ohio. He also enjoyed working with the cattle on his farm before his health deteriorated. He loved talking with people everywhere he went, particularly at the community restaurant that he and his wife frequented. He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy E. Richardson and Annie Tinsley Richardson Wolfe, stepfather Smitty Wolfe, his brothers, Elvin "Sadie" Richardson and wife Oletta, Prince A. Richardson and wife Sammy. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Inez Pritt Burdette Richardson, son Todd Burdette and wife, Monica of Cross Lanes, daughter Teresa Burdette Petersen and husband David of Clearwater, Florida, son Terry Richardson and wife Tracee of Scott Depot; grandchildren Dakota and Kaylee Burdette, Zachary and Aiden Petersen and Hannah Jones and Rylee Richardson. He is also survived by his brother Carl "C.I." Richardson and wife Betty, several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. Funeral Services will be 11:00 AM Saturday July 26, 2014 at Goldtown Community Church with the Rev. Al Mendez officiating. Burial with Military Graveside Rites provided by American Legion Post 61, Clendenin will follow in Sunset Memorial Park, South Charleston. Visitation with the family will be from 6 to 8 PM Friday and one hour prior to services also at the church.
