Connie Sue Tanner, 73, of Charleston passed away June 11, 2023 at home with her family by her side.

Connie was born September 4, 1949 to the late Patrick Legg Sr. and Marjorie Pagan Legg; in addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Skippy Legg, Freddie Legg, and Patrick Legg; son, Junior Tanner; and a grandson, Rylan Boyd Tanner.

Connie was a retired Department Head with Kroger.  She especially enjoyed spending time with her Children and Grandchildren.

Left to cherish her memory are loving children, Bobby Tanner, Kim Tanner, and Brandi McClanahan; grandchildren, Izabella "Z" Rose, Sophia "SoSo" McClanahan, Molly Edwards, Christian McClanahan, and Emma Edwards; sisters, Lynn Mooney and Mary Lou Thomas; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorial service will be 6:00 P.M. Wednesday, June 14, 2023 at Cunningham-Parker-Johnson Funeral Home, 1325 W. Washington Street, Charleston.

Special thanks to Jennifer McCracken for the care she provided to Connie during her illness.

A gathering of family and friends will begin at 5:00 P.M. Wednesday at the funeral home.
