Clara Lou Morrison Nick Clara Lou Morrison Nick, 71, of South Charleston, went home to be with the Lord, July 18, 2011. She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Virginia Morrison, and a brother, Truman Lee Morrison. She worked for the Department of Labor in Washington, DC and transferred to the Social Security Office of Hearings and Appeals, where she retired from in 2002. She was a former member of Spradling Gospel Tabernacle where she held many positions throughout the years. She was an active member of the Charleston Mountain Mission. She loved to read and loved children. Surviving are brother and his wife, David and Karen Morrison, of Charleston; sister and her husband, Doris and Carl Baldwin, of Quartzite, Arizona; sister-in-law, Nina Morrison of Pacheco, Calif.; step-mother, Reathel Morrison; step-brothers, Maxie and Brooke Mullins; step-sister, Karen Thomas and several cousins. She was also blessed with a very special friend, Brenda Layne and a host of other friends. Funeral services will be 11 a.m., Thursday, July 21, 2011, at Cunningham-Parker-Johnson Funeral Home, Charleston, with the Rev. Fairley McCormick, the Rev. Tom Hayes and the Rev Billie Mullins officiating. Burial will follow in Ridgelawn Memorial Park, Huntington. Visitation with the family will be from 6 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, July 20, at the funeral home.
