Charlotte Elizabeth Jones, 84, died peacefully surrounded by family on Friday, August 2, 2017 at William Childs Hospice House in Palm Bay, FL. She was born January 21, 1933 in Griffithsville, WV to Georgia and Oscar Marshall Fowlkes Sr. Charlotte and her late husband Arnold raised their sons, Marshall and Arnold Lewis Jones, Advent, WV. Charlotte had a long career as a bookkeeper at Sears and Roebuck in Charleston, WV prior to devoting her time to raise her family. An avid reader and craft maker she loved sharing books and her handiwork with family, friends, and church fundraisers. She was a member of the Goodwill Community Church in Kenna WV and the First Baptist Church of Malabar, FL.

Charlotte was preceded in death by her husband Arnold and brothers Oscar Marshall Fowlkes and Melvin P. Fowlkes.
Charlotte is survived by her sons Marshall Jones and Arnold Lewis Jones (Dawn) of Palm Bay, FL, her grandchildren Brittany, Jake, Tyler, and Madelyn, William "Jeep" Jr. (Cindy), Linda (Tom), Mario, Joey, and Anthony; eight great-grandchildren; her brother, Robert Lee Fowlkes (Margaret) of Milton, FL; nephew, Niles Jon Fowlkes of Boston, MA; nephew, Greg Wendell Fowlkes (Linda) of Oviedo, FL; niece, Linda R. Fowlkes of Milton, FL; nephew, Alex Scott Fowlkes (Donna) of Milton, FL; niece, Leslie Leggett (Greg) of Milton, FL; seventeen great nieces and nephews, and fourteen great-great nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be 11:00 AM Tuesday August 8, 2017 at Cunningham-Parker-Johnson Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Jordan Cemetery, Advent. Visitation with the family will be from 6 to 8 PM Monday also at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks memorial gifts be made to the Goodwill Community Church, 1958 Kentuck Rd., Kenna, WV 25248.
