Charles Delvin Baxter, born on October 13, 1950, in Charleston, WV, passed away on May 17, 2024, after a long illness. He was the son of the late Charles Lee and Mancel (Good) Baxter.
Charles graduated from C.H.S (68) and  U.C. with his degree in Nursing. Charles worked his way from orderly to CST at CAMC and then as a Surgical Nurse at CAMC and T.M.H.
Charles is survived by his wife, Kathy Cooper Baxter, and children, Shawn (Morgan) Baxter, Jennifer (Aaron) Cantley, and Cindy (Shane) Hudnall; six grandchildren, Aaron II and Jacob Cantley, Conner and Madilyn Hudnall, and Abigail and Avery Baxter; brothers Ralph (Patty) and Steve (Debbie) of Scott Depot; nephews Eric and Joe Baxter, and niece Shanna Baxter-Legg.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 22, 2024, at Cunningham Parker Johnson Funeral Home, with Pastor Bart Hodel officiating. Burial will follow in the Baxter Family Cemetery, Elkview.
Visitation will be held from 1:00 - 2:00 P.M. at the funeral home before the service.
