Cecil R. "Cowboy" Scott, 70, of Charleston, passed away May 16, 2010 after a long illness.. Cecil was preceded in death by his parents, George and Katherine Quinn Scott, brother, Charles Scott, and grandmother, Rosa Bell Quinn Woolwine. He was currently employed by Advance Auto Parts in Kanawha City, and was a former employee of Motor Car Supply and A & I Supply. He was a veteran of the US Army, 82nd Airborne, and loved motorcycle riding, especially Harley Davidson's. Surviving are; brother and sister-in-law, James and Sharon Scott of Charleston; aunts and uncles, Edith Shaver, Wilma Dean Monroe and Sherman Quinn; nephews, James R. Scott, Timothy R. Scott and John R. Scott; great-nephews, John Charles Scott, Caleb Michael Scott and Joshua Kenneth Powell. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Thursday, May 20, at Cunningham-Parker-Johnson Funeral Home, Charleston with the Rev. Jerry Vance officiating. Burial will be in Grandview Memorial Park, Dunbar, with military graveside rites by American Legion Post No. 61, Clendenin. Visitation with the family will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
