Cecil Barton Oxley, 93 of South Charleston passed away on June 13, 2018 just shy of his 94th birthday.
He was born June 28, 1924 and was the son of William H. and Bertha Belcher Oxley.
In addition to this parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Mildred, son Michael, his brothers Kenneth, Bill, Thurman (T.R.), Rixey, Stanley and Lester - his sisters Iona Marion and Mary Martin.
Cecil graduated from Stonewall Jackson High School and was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving during World War II. He retired from Patterson Dental Company in 1986 with 30 years of service.
He is survived by his son Ed Oxley and wife Connie of Scott Depot, grandchildren, Kimberly and Trevor Oxley, Tammy Alaniz and, sister in law Carlene Oxley, Mary Lou McElfish, Connie Louden, many nieces and nephews and good friend Mel Bunch.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday June 17, 2018 at Cunningham-Parker-Johnson Funeral Home with the Rev. Scott Davis officiating. Burial will follow in Jenkins Cemetery, Kanawha Two Mile, Charleston. Visitation with the family will be one hour prior to services.
The family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to Broadmore Assisted Living and Hospice.
