Cecil Edward Davis Sr., 79, of Charleston, entered into Heaven on Wednesday, April 17, 2024 at Thomas Memorial Hospital.

Cecil was born on August 1, 1944 in Ward to the late Cecil R. Davis and Gladys Davis.  In addition to his parents, Cecil was preceded in death by his sisters, Betty Monalou Davis Stone and Delinda Clark.

Cecil was an Ordained Minister of the Gospel, devoted Gospel Singer, loving Husband, Father, Grandfather, and Great-Grandfather.  He enjoyed his family, participating in all family activities.  He loved Church, reading, and most of all, his music and his dog, Pippie.  He also loved sharing the Gospel and praying for others.

Cecil has faithfully finished the race and has received his crown of righteousness.

Those left to cherish his memory are his devoted wife of 55 years, Brenda J. Davis of Charleston; children, Tabitha Davis Cook (George) of Chapmanville, Cecil E. Davis Jr. (Kelli) of Charleston, and Marla L. Davis of Charleston; granddaughter, Kaitlyn Davis of Charleston; great-granddaughter, Tailei Jade of Charleston; and many nieces, nephews, and family members.

There will be a private family viewing for immediate family members only, and a graveside service, per his request.
