Carrie Evelyn Carte Morris, 88, of Belle, formerly of South Charleston, went home to be with the Lord on March 27, 2015. Mrs. Morris was a member of the First United Methodist Church of South Charleston and attended Belle Presbyterian Church. She loved sports, cooking and crocheting. Carrie always had a smile on her face and will be greatly missed by all who knew her. She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, James Arthur Morris; parents, Luther and Mary Carte; and siblings, Bud, Leora, Blanche, Freda, Verda and Loren. A loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-grandmother, she is survived by her children, Lee Morris and wife, Linda of Belle, Jeanne Moss of St. Albans, Chuck Morris and wife, Kathy of Sissonville and Debbie Lynn Gibson of Savannah, GA; 10 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren; and a great-grandchild and two great-great grandchildren on the way. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be 1:00 PM Monday, March 30, 2015 at Cunningham-Parker-Johnson Funeral Home with Pastor Richard Young and Bobby Gibson officiating. Burial will follow at Cunningham Memorial Park, St. Albans. Visitation will be from noon until service time Monday at the funeral home.
