Carlos E. Shafer Carlos E. Shafer, 53, of Sissonville, passed away unexpectedly on September 18, 2015. Mr. Shafer was an equipment operator for the West Virginia Dept. of Highways. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and riding ATV's with his friends. He also loved doing genealogy. He was preceded in death by his mother, Donna Jean Shafer; and sister, Hilda Shafer. Surviving are his father, Albert "Tack" Shafer of Charleston; and sister, P.J. Shafer of Delaware, OH. Funeral service will be 1:00 PM Wednesday, September 23, 2015 at Cunningham-Parker-Johnson Funeral Home with Pastor Daniel McClung officiating. Burial will follow at Sissonville Memorial Gardens, Sissonville. Visitation will be one hour prior to service time at the funeral home. .
