Bobby Jarrell Boggess, Sr., 72, of Midway, Putnam County, West Virginia passed away unexpectedly May 25, 2011 at CAMC Teays Valley. He was a 1958 graduate of Sissonville High School, where he was a star football player. He worked for Costal Tank Lines, Nitro, WV, and retired from Chemical Lehman, Greenup, Kentucky. He was a member of Teamsters Locals 175 & 505. He enjoyed watching his sons play football which they both excelled at, liked watching NASCAR and enjoyed his grandkids. One of his passions was playing his loving wife's songs; he loved hearing her sing. There was a website he went into called Pal Talk, and he played her recordings daily. He made recordings of her singing on the PC. He was preceded in death by his parents, Emmett and Mary Miller Boggess, Sr. He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Ellen Moss Boggess; children, Teresa Craig and her husband Bob of Fraizers Bottom, WV, Debbie Boggess of Midway, WV, Bobby Boggess and his wife Sabrina of Winston-Salem, NC, and Jay Boggess and his wife Diana of Eleanor, WV; brothers and sisters, Emmett Boggess, Jr. and wife Dorothy of Ashland, Ky, Delores Parrish of Cross Lanes, Joy Mairs and husband Pip of Sissonville, WV, Sherry Daniels and husband Henry of Paintsville, KY, Teresa Goodwin and husband Shorty of Sissonville, WV, and Wanda Hemmings of Charlotte, NC.; 13 grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends are left to mourn his passing. Funeral Services will be 1:00 PM Saturday, May 28, 2011 at Cunningham-Parker-Johnson Funeral Home with the Rev. Duane Taylor officiating. Burial will follow in Sissonville Memorial Gardens, Sissonville. Visitation with the family will be from 6 to 8 PM Friday at the Funeral Home.
