Blenda Kay Sylvester, affectionately known as Nubby, passed away on October 2, 2024, at the age of 68. She was born on April 11, 1956, in Charleston, West Virginia, and spent her later years in Saint Albans and South Charleston, where she created countless cherished memories with her family.

Blenda was a devoted mother to her children and a proud grandmother. Her love for her grandchildren was unparalleled, and they brought her immense joy and fulfillment.

In her leisure time, Blenda enjoyed shooting pool, listening to music, and vacationing at Carolina Beach, her favorite place in the world. She had a particular fondness for broccoli cheddar soup and loved to unwind by watching her favorite TV shows, including Grey's Anatomy, LMN, and heartwarming Christmas movies.

Blenda had a successful career as a bartender at Loretta's Pastime, where she was known for her warm personality and ability to create a welcoming atmosphere. Her pride in her children and their accomplishments was evident to all who knew her.

Blenda is preceded in death by her parents Junior and Betty Page, brothers Lawrence and Billy and sister Carolyn.

Those left to cherish her memory include her loving boyfriend, Danny Manor, sons Wes, Roger, and Justin, daughter Megan Evans, and seven grandchildren.

Memorial services will be held at 6:00 p.m. on October 11, 2024, at Cunningham Parker Johnson Funeral Home with Pastor Travis Bradley officiating.
