Billy L. Thaxton, 63 of Sissonville passed away on August 11, 2012 at CAMC General Division from a short illness. He was born on May 17, 1949. He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Thelma Thaxton, brother, William Lee, sister, Diana McGrew and two nieces, Melody Darrenkamp and Thelma Marie McGrew. Surviving are sons, David E. and Travis Thaxton and daughter Tonya Ann Hernandez, all of Indiana. Five grandchildren, Justin Thaxton, and Tommy and Alexis Thaxton and Dayton and Serena Hernandez all of Indiana. Brothers and sisters, Wayne Thaxton of Tuppers Creek, Charleston, Darrell and Jimmy Thaxton both from the Edens Fork area. Georgette Jean Martin of Ligonier, Indiana, Marilyn Oxley of Tuppers Creek and Malinda Thaxton of Sissonville. His companion of 16 years Bev Anderson of Sissonville and her three daughters, Missy, Boo, Mindy and her late son T.J. Funeral Services will be 1:00 PM Wednesday August 15, 2012 at Cunningham-Parker-Johnson Funeral Home with the Rev. Walter Means officiating. Burial will follow in Thaxton Cemetery, Charleston.
