Betty Jo King, 75 of Charleston passed away July 31, 2009 at Hubbard Hospice House after a long illness and a long life of happiness. She was employed by Kanawha County Schools at the Ben Franklin Center for 30 years. Preceding her in death was her daughter, grandson, husband Joe King, Sr., and great-granddaughter. Surviving her are Son, Joey A. King, Jr., and Girlfriend Sonja Kay Carson of South Charleston; Daughters, Arietta King and her husband Danny of Rand, Diana Taylor and her husband Lewis Ray of Charleston, Bethel Wisnewski and her husband Jerry of Greeley, Colorado, and Linnie "Curley" May King of Charleston; Brother, Bill Conner and his wife, Elvie of Cross Lanes; Sister, Jean Fields of Ohio; Many Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren are left to mourn her passing. Funeral Services will be 3:00 PM Sunday August 2, 2009 at Cunningham-Parker-Johnson Funeral Home with Pastor Dorris Walls officiating. Burial will follow at 2:00 PM Monday August 3, 2009 in Springhill Cemetery, Charleston. Visitation with the family will be Saturday from 6 to 8 PM at the Funeral Home.
