Betty Jane Hackney, 65, of Charleston passed away April 17, 2023 at home after a long illness.

Betty was born December 28, 1957 to the late Roy Cook and Wilma Gibson.  In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her brothers, Charles, Gary and Timmy; and sisters, Diane and Carol.

Betty had worked as the Manager of the Farm Table, South Charleston.

Left cherish her memory are sons, Scott and Shawn Hackney, both of Charleston; sisters, Ella Blaha (Bernard) of Brunswick, Ohio, and Connie Withrow; brothers, Glen King, and Richard King (Sonja) of Cleveland, Ohio; grandchildren, Steven Lanham and Shannon Hackney, both of Charleston.

Service will be 1:00 P.M. Monday, April 24, 2023 at Cunningham-Parker-Johnson Funeral Home, 1325 W. Washington St., Charleston.  Burial will follow in Marmet Cemetery, Marmet.

A gathering of family and friends will begin at 11:00 A.M. Monday at the funeral home.
