Obituary

Betty L. Garnes-Black, 80, of Charleston passed away October 30, 2010. She was retired from BB&T, was know as the Coupon Lady, and loved to help others. She was preceded in death by her Parents Orville and Glada Estep Davis, husband Denzil Joe Garnes and her Grandson Brad O'Connor. Surviving her are Sons, Jim Black of Charleston, Charles Black and his wife Janice of Sissonville; Daughters, Linda Harless and her husband Bob of Charleston; Paulette O'Connor and her husband Harry of Columbus, Ohio; Anne Thurner and her husband Russell of Savannah, Georgia, and Rosemary Ancion and her husband Joe of Jacksonville, Florida; Sister, Mary Fugate of Hurricane. 10 Grandchildren, a Host of Great Grandchildren and Several Cousins, Nieces, Nephews, and Friends that are left to mourn her passing. A Special Thank You to the staff at Meadowbrook Nursing for their past four years of care. The Family would like to extend a Special Thank You to the staff at Hubbard Hospice House for their kind treatment to Betty in her Final Days. Funeral Services will be 11:00 AM Tuesday November 2, 2010 at Cunningham-Parker-Johnson Funeral Home with the Rev. Thomas A. Moore, Jr., officiating. Burial will follow in Shamblin Cemetery, Kenna.
