Bertha Rosalie Soard
73, of Charleston, passed away, Thursday, April 13, in Hubbard Hospice House.
She was a graduate of Sherman High School, Class of 1961, and retired from CSX Transportation.
Bertha, was preceded in death by, her husband, Lee Truman Soard; son, Gary Arnold Miller; parents Boyd and Tessie Perdue Kirk; and brother, Larry Boyd Kirk.
Surviving are, her daughter, Wendy Carte and husband, Bill of Charleston; grandchildren, Joshua Lee Carte, Brandon Kirk Carte, Jared Patrick Carte, and Nickolas Dekkar Miller; former husband, Arnold Gary Miller of Logan; sister Carolyn Sue and husband, Robert Turkelson of Teays Valley; sister-in-law, Peggy Kirk; and nieces and nephews and other extended family members.

Graveside service and burial will be 1:30 p.m., Monday, April 17, 2017 at Sunset Memorial Park, South Charleston, with Richard P. Cyfers officiating.
Visitation with the family will be from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. at Cunningham-Parker-Johnson Funeral Home, Charleston, Monday, prior to the graveside service.
