Berneze "Mom" Mandy Berry Hill Shamblin 94 of Sissonville left this world to be in her new home on February 11, 2014. She retired from CAMC General Division, Member of Parsons Chapel Advent Church and attended Pocatalico Community Church. Preceding her in death were her husband's Carl Hill, who lost his life defending our country during WWII, Eugene Shamblin and Pat Shamblin; parents William Webster and Nettie Covey Berry; brothers Dayton, Bernard, and Forest "Plucky" Berry; sisters Garnet Moss, Ethel Haynes and Nettie Phyllis Cummings. Left to cherish her memory are sons, Carl Hill, Jr. and wife Carol of Cowpens, SC; Patrick "Bo" Shamblin and wife Bonnie; daughter, Sharon Shamblin Tignor (sign language girl) all of Sissonville. 4 Grandchildren, 9 Great Grandchldren and 3 Great Great Grandchildren and brother, Rev. William K. Berry and wife Vivian of Charleston Many thanks to Kanawha Hospice, with special thanks to Holly and Sherry from Kanawha Hospice, and for all the prayers. Funeral Services will be 2:00 PM Friday February 14, 2014 at Cunningham-Parker-Johnson Funeral Home with the Rev. William Buddy Mairs officiating. Burial will follow in John Beane Cemetery, Sissonville. Visitation with the family will be two hours prior to services on Friday.
