Obituary

Beatrice "Bea" Westfall Harkins, 87, of Charleston passed away December 7, 2009 at home after a long illness. She is the last survivor of 16 children of Okey and Clemmie Westfall. Bea enjoyed Quilting and working in her yard. Years Back Bea sang with "The Humble Heart Trio". Years ago they sang at many Churches and Praised the Lord everywhere they went. Preceding Bea to Heaven was her Parents; Husband, Clarence A. Harkins; Baby Daughter, Brenda; also a Great Granddaughter, Tori Duff. Surviving are her Children and Caregivers; Emory Harkins and wife Mae; Virginia "Jenny" Duff and husband Larry; JoAnn Young and husband Arlin. Grandchildren, Randy Duff and wife Sandy; Sandra Fowler and husband Bob; Teresa Lollar and husband J.B.; Mark Young and wife Teresa; David Young; Scott Young and wife Laura; and Gregory Harkins and wife Jennifer. 19 Great Grandchildren, 5 Great Great Grandchildren, and one on the way. Sister-in-laws and Brother-in-laws; Carrie Westfall; Louise and Charles Ashworth; Mary and Bob Jones. Several Nieces and Nephews. Special Niece Ruby Haynes and husband Carroll Haynes. Special Thanks to Hospice Care and all the workers who helped us with our Mother during the Last months of her Illness. Thanks to Kim Cyrus, Peggy Davis, Tony Dunlap and Kim Ayers. The Family Suggests Memorial Donations to: Hospice Care, 1606 Kanawha Blvd. W, Charleston, WV 25312-2536. Funeral Services will be 1:00 PM Thursday December 10, 2009 at Cunningham-Parker-Johnson Funeral Home with the Rev. Benny Bess officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to services on Thursday. Private Family Burial will follow in the Harkins Cemetery, Charleston.
