Basil D. Bailey 78 of Charleston was saved on November 7, 2005 and passed away at his home May 14, 2014. He was retired from Yeardley Engineering and a former employee of General Engineering with 25 years of service. He was an Army Veteran, a member of the 1953 Undefeated Indians Football Team and a 1955 Graduate of Sissonville High School. Basil also attended New Testament Community Church (Formerly Utah Mission). Preceding him in death were his parents Brady and Edna Bailey and sister, Elizabeth "Liz" White. Survivors include his loving wife, Neva Goff Bailey; daughters, Judith Slater and husband Richard; Kimberly Friend and husband Doug; and Candice High and husband Joe all of Charleston. Grandchildren, Andrea Friend Goff and husband Kevin; Brady Slater; Bailey High; Joseph High and Austin High. Funeral Services will be 1:00 PM Tuesday May 20, 2014 at Cunningham-Parker-Johnson Funeral Home with Rev. John Henderson officiating. Entombment will follow in Tyler Mountain Memory Gardens, Cross Lanes.
