Obituary
Barbara Ann Toler, of Sissonville, was called home by the Lord, on Monday, July 2, 2018.
She was born Barbara Ann Stone, October 14, 1945, in Carlisle, PA, the daughter of the late Thomas H. Bender, Sr. and the late Margaret E. Bender (Stone), both of Lewistown, PA. The eldest of 16, she graduated in 1963 from Lewistown-Granville High School, and went to work for the Federal Government in Washington, DC. Her career of 37 years was working for the Veterans Administration and the Department of Justice, ending with the US Marshals Service.
She is survived by her loving husband, Robert K. Toler of Sissonville; children Julie na Patalung Pongsri (Pa Pongsri) of Bangkok Thailand, Suzy na Patalung Cobb (Mark Cobb) of Fayetteville, NC, Dreama Ann Toler (Jane Poetker) of Gaithersburg, MD, and Bobbie Sue Wilson (George Butler Wilson, M.D.) of TN; grandchildren, Tap, Thames and Toi Pongsri of Bangkok, Thailand, Logan and Ryan Henry of Nashville, TN, and Emma and Anna Cobb of Fayetteville, NC; siblings, Thomas Bender, Jr., the late Gloria Carter, Donald Bender, Ronald Bender, Mary Dippery, Ferris Bender, Deborah Tipton, Kathy Fetterman, Susan King, Wendy Bender, William Bender, Samuel Bender, Tami Bender, Jeffrey Bender and Pamela Stimely, all of Lewistown, PA.
Per Barbara's request, her remains will be cremated, and there will be no public services held.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks everyone to hug their loved ones tight.
