Barbara N. Rounds Barbara N. Rounds, 90, of Charleston died December 7, 2010 at Hubbard Hospice House. Barbara was born February 24, 1920 in St. Paul, Minnesota to the late Judge John L. and Frances Nall Rounds. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Virginia Rounds Baker of Charleston. She attended the University of Minnesota and obtained her teaching degree from National Teachers College in Chicago, Illinois. She taught kindergarten at the Latin School of Chicago, and North Shore Country Day School in Chicago. She was volunteer of the year in 1969 for her work with United Charities of Chicago, and volunteered for many years at CAMC after moving to Charleston. She was also a loyal Mountaineer Fan. Barbara will be sadly missed by her niece, Jean Baker Jones and spouse, David, of Charlotte, North Carolina; nephew, Edward Rounds Baker and spouse, Joyce, of Charleston; five great-nieces and nephews and eight great-great-nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, December 9, 2010 at Cunningham-Parker-Johnson Funeral Home, Charleston with the Rev. William K. Berry officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Park, South Charleston. There will be no visitation.
