Barbara Jane Harkins 80 of Charleston passed away July 24, 2015 at the home of her daughter Debbie Whitehurst. Barbara was a Homemaker and member of Kanawha United Presbyterian Church. Preceding her in death were her parents John Rider and Hazel Lasure. She will be reunited with her loving husband of 57 years Kermit Harkins. Survivors include her son Dan Harkins and Joe of Charleston; daughters, Debbie Whitehurst and husband Lee of Paw Paw, and Lisa Cantoni and husband Mike of Charlottesville, VA; grandchildren, Emilee, Carrie, Michael and Olivia; brother, John Rider and wife Laureen of Ohio, Aunt Jeannie Taylor of South Carolina and Uncle John Lasure of Charleston. A Celebration of Life will be 1:00 PM Monday July 27, 2015 at Cunningham-Parker-Johnson Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Tyler Mountain Memory Gardens, Cross Lanes. Visitation with the family will be one hour prior to services also at the Funeral Home. In Lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations to the American Heart Association, 162 Court Street, Charleston, WV 25301.
