Barbara Ray Dye, 76, of Sissonville, passed away peacefully, Saturday February 11, 2017, at Hubbard Hospice House West, after a long battle with cancer.
Born March 31st, 1940 in Frame, WV, she was the daughter of the late Lance and Mary Ray. Barbara worked at several doctors' offices in the area over the years, but her most favorite occupation was that of grandmother. Barbara and her husband Herbert celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary on February 10, 2017.
Surviving is her husband, Herbert W. Dye; daughters Beth Yoshimura of Buford, GA, and Aimee and son-in-law Chad Carpenter of Sissonville; grandchildren, Jaison Yoshimura of Mint Hill NC, Chelsea Yoshimura of Buford, GA, and Caden and Colten Carpenter of Sissonville.
Funeral Services will be at 2 P.M., Tuesday, February 14, at Allen's Fork Community Church with Pastor, Jerry Bonnett and Pastor Joey Scarberry officiating. Burial will follow at Floral Hills Cemetery, Sissonville.
Friends will be received from 4 to 8 P.M. Monday, February 13, at Allen's Fork Community Church 1611 Allen's Fork Road, Charleston, WV 25320.
The family wishes to express thanks to the many nurses and caregivers over the course of her illness, and encourage everyone to help support the Hospice organization in their area.
