Barbara Ward Cummings 73 of Charleston passed away at her home September 20, 2012. Barbara was a graduate of Clay County High School, retired as an Executive Secretary from the Charleston Job Corp and attended Sugar Creek Community Mission Church. She was preceded in death by her husband George F. "Freddie" Cummings; father, Clarence Edward Ward; nephew, T.J. Jordan and Sister-in-law, Bonnie Ward. Survivors included, sons, George F. "Scott" Cummings, Jr., and wife Lisa; John E. Cummings and Daniel B. Cummings and wife Donna; mother, Victoria Ward of Ivydale; brothers, James Ward and wife Barb of Ivydale, and Charles Ward of Elkview; sister and best friend, Myrna Jordan of Sissonville. Grandchildren, Sydney, Grant, Justin and Zachary; Great Granddaughter, Alexus and a host of special friends left to mourn her passing. Funeral Services will be 2:00 PM Sunday September 23, 2012 at Cunningham-Parker-Johnson Funeral Home with Pastor Gene Sowards officiating. Burial will follow in the Ward Cemetery, Ivydale. Visitation with the family will be one hour prior to services also on Sunday. A Reception will follow burial at the Sugar Creek Community Mission Church Activity Building.
