Avonelle LeMaster Casto departed this earth in route to the heavenly gates on June 9, 2017. She was born in Barnetts Creek, Kentucky on May 8, 1919 to Alfred and Jencie LeMaster.
She was preceded in death by her son, Alfred Lee Casto; two sisters, Alphoretta Blanton of Florida and Kitty Reed of Kentucky; and one brother, John LeMaster of Kentucky.
She is survived by her two children, Rebecca Evans and Clarence Casto (Barbara). She is also survived by four grandchildren: Kimberly Sigman (Joe), Scott Sigman (Greg), Michael Casto (Elizabeth), and Michele Casto (Steve). She was blessed with two great grandchildren--Spencer Gore and Lily Casto-Lanning--and eight step great grandchildren--Ebby Stier, Jackie Stier, and Casey Stier; Amberlin Sarver, Breanna Sarver and Meghan Sarver; and Jarred Stanphill (Meredith) and Justin Stanphill (Lauren).
She was "Granny" to four extended grandchildren: Joe Garnes (Joyce), Mike Garnes (Karen), Sandy Sowards (Fred), and Jaylynn Stier. She is survived by two brothers, Charles LeMaster (Roberta) and Howard LeMaster, both of Texas. Special appreciation is extended to her niece, Sherry LeMaster (John), for her devotion over the years. Avonelle's career path began as a stay-at-home Mom, and she later became a beautician and nurse's aide.
A celebration of life will be held at Cunningham Parker Johnson Funeral Home in Charleston, WV. Viewing will be held from 1:00-2:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 15, 2017 with the funeral service to immediately follow.
