Obituary

Audra Imogene Kirby, 85, of Charleston, passed away July 15, 2012. Mrs. Kirby was a former employee of Quick Copy, Kroger and Drug Emporium. She also attended Union Baptist Church, Milton. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wesley Gordon Kirby, Jr.; parents, Kermit and Theo Litton Balser; sister, Marqueen Grimes; grandson, Anthony Kirby; and son-in-law, Scott Rawn. Survivors include her loving children, Marie Rawn of St. Albans, Darrell G. Kirby and wife, Connie of Roanoke, VA and Wesley K. Kirby and wife, Janet of Charleston; sister, Eileen King; brother, Quentin Balser; aunt, Isabelle Vandergriff; grandchildren; Wesley W. Kirby, Matthew B. Kirby and Kimberly Hensley; and great-grandchildren; Xavier and Zander Hensley and Noah and Payton Kirby. Also surviving are several nieces, nephews and friends. Funeral services will be 1:00 pm Wednesday, July 18, 2012 at Cunningham-Parker-Johnson Funeral Home, Charleston with Pastor Brent Beckett officiating. Burial will follow in Fairplain Cemetery, Fairplain. Visitation with the family will be 6-8 pm Tuesday and one hour prior to service Wednesday, also at the funeral home. The family wishes to thank Dr. Edward Tiley and staff for their professionalism, kindness and compassion. A thank you is also extended to Mark Withrow with Hospice Care for his care given to Audra. Finally, a very special thank you is extended to Wesley and Janet Kirby for the wonderful care they gave Mom.
